Click on Resources and scroll to find the Pre-Confederation Events Timeline. Use the 3 word note taking strategy to complete events up and including Battle on the Plains of Abraham. Remember that names, numbers and symbols are free.
Great Show!
We all loved the show! Theatre Calgary's A Christmas Carol was wonderful. The play reminded us to help others less fortunate than ourselves and to be kind to all people.

Reading Response and Canadian History
We started the writing and visual for the first Reading Response. It is in Google Drive, titled 7-1-RR1-Name or 7-4-RR1-Name.
7-2 is doing their reading response with Mrs. Knight.
We also started our Pre-Confederation Canadian history with the first contact with the Europeans. 7-1, 7-2 and 7-4 will be discussing the exploration and colonizing of Canada over the next weeks.

Reading Response for The Crazy Man
We are starting our reading response for The Crazy Man. A reading response differs from a traditional book report because it asks you to relate and reflect on a book. You are required to compare your life experiences and the emotions you felt to a character's experiences and emotions. You are also required to reflect on their decisions. Click Resources for the format.

A visit with Mark, our studio artist
We visited our W.P.S. studio artist, Mark Vazquez-Mackay, to learn about his process of creating art.
It was fascinating to hear him explain his thoughts and ideas. We also thought it was "cool to have 3D stuff attached to a painting". It was interesting to listen Mark explain how he made is canvases and easel. He also said "You can't judge a painting before it's finished."
